Bush skips out on Vietnam, and Republicans rally around him, mocking decorated veteran John Kerry with purple heart bandages (George did wear a decoration, but he didn't earn it. That's an offense punishable by 6 months in the brig by the Uniform Code of Jusice). Dubya flip-flops on the war on terror, and Republicans call John Kerry 'Flipper'.

Some people hailed 9/11 as the death of irony, but I'm noticing that it's alive and well.
